We have had Fords,Plymouth's,Dodge,Chev's,Saab,Nissan's. Out of all the cars and trucks the Honda's beat all of them hands down. Yeah I see those high dollar cars you guys posted...I can't afford them. The eight Honda's we have owned I have never had in the shop for repairs. The only thing we had to do to them was tires,oil and one battery. Earlier in my younger days I wouldn't even give a import a second thought. In the eighties I learned a lesson on the Quality of American made cars. I can't afford to keep repairing them. I am 100% import all the way...they seem to last longer for me.

Don't know which Fords and GMs ya had Mike, but my wife's 1998 Buick LeSabre had 198,000 plus miles and only replaced the plugs once and regular oil, antifreeze, and trans fluid changes.Still ran beautifully when we gave it to our youngest son at 16. He drove until he went into the army 18 months ago and sold it still running fine. My 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis I used it for on the road sales and it had 207,000 miles, plugs, regular oil changes, changed the trans fluid and radiator fluid on a schedule andfinally did have to buy a water pump-that was it. Ran great when we sold it.

If money was no concern it would be a F355 Berlinetta or GTS. In my opinion the best looking of the modern Ferrari's.

I got to drive a 355 Berlinetta recently...very nice car.....and an awesome exhaust note when revved hard
. Wouldn't fancy the running costs of the car though!Im a motorcycle guy so i use a car to get me around during the time i cant ride due to weather.Currently drive a 09 Dodge Charger RT with 20 inch Voodoo Skull rims on Nitto 420's tires,Brembo brakes upgrade, predator chip and some air/exhaust mods.Next car will be a Dodge Challenger later this year when the new ones come out.
That Alfa Giulietta looks very nice.(I am now a virtual owner!)..I am ever hopeful that Alfa nail it this time and finally bring out a class leader.....love Alfa but never been brave enough to own one but never forgotten many years ago driving an Alfa Sud Ti and loving the dynamics and engine..and then ther is the rust.
Money no object my favourite car at the moment (it changes regularly) would be the BMW M3.
More realistic option ...Mini Cooper S
My actual and more practical drives are an aging Honda Accord (very reliable but very boring) and a Mazda MPV for carting the family around (very practical and the kids love it)

Not any more on todays cars, fortunately! I owned a 10 years old Lancia Delta - no garage vehicle - with minor to no rust at all. And my dad´s Mercedes C (same age, garage vehicle) was plastered with rust.
The Alfasud was great fun, but this was their worst period concerning rustproblems. A true horror owning any italian vehicle of that time. The Giulietta is great, but IMHO Fiat/Lancia/Alfa is too much holding back their developments at the moment. I´d love to see some more goodies in the near future. Alfa Romeo do make some wonderful cars but, rust aside, reliability issues have always hampered them. That said, if I could choose only one of their current stable it'd be the 8C...

The Miata for me It is a litte touring coupe convertable that has classic Euro sports car design with modern Japanese reliability.
My little 97 miata is my 'family' car....just me and my wife and now the weather is starting to get nice here again, time to start having her go topless...the car...oh i wish...yeah... My wife has the truck in the family, a mid 90s silverado 2wd pickup. great farm chore truck. Both of our cars are not overrun with plastics nor overrun with computers. My Miata is simple and realtivly uncomputerized other than the engine diagonstic system. Things are very logically arranged and quite accessable despite its very compact size. I am only 5'7" and the door handle is not to far above my knee cap. It makes me feel taller...talk about an overcompensating vehicle LOL. I do have a mag compass out of a bonanza that would look mounted on the dash if i can figure out how to do it without drilling.
As far as family vehicles, my grandmother drives a 05 Camry, it doesnt suffer from any throttle issue, a very reliable and well built car.
