paintkit

Yes please, it would make repaints a lot easier....

WIP:

EA-F ND787 of 49 squadron (Fidkerton, mid summer 1944).

Next to do: strong exhaust weathering.

Well only just now picked it up. Thanks Dan, love your texturing style. I need some sleep now but I'll give this one a good testride tomorrow. So far I'm really happy!

Yes,

A beauty isn't she? But this shot also shows the early BI anachronisms of this model.

Compare: wartime photo of KM-B; same time (1942), same squadron.

Missing small windows on the fuselage, collar around the mid-upper turret which was not yet introduced, lacking exhaust covers.

Still waiting the patch and paint kit, seems it was a bigger job than first thought. I have the boxed version, so hope the patch is not a full download, which with my almost dial-up connection would be a nightmare.

GREAT screenshots posted by everyone. Thank you very much. :applause:
I like them all.
Merry Christmas everybody!

Cheers :ernae:

Dan....

.....please include the paintkit for the MR when you put out the kit in a Service Pack!

Thanks,

Kent

Hi Kent,

I'm preparing the paint kit now- all aircraft share a common texture layout. One size fits all!

Dan.

BI KM-C repaint

Merry Christmas!,

PD97004-BIKMC.jpg

Yesterday I completed my BI KM-C repaint as far as I could:

- Darker grey markings according the WWII color photograph
- Intermediate cowling staining by hot exhaust gases
- Exhaust stack covers by using the BIII model
- Early model fuselage windows introduced (with alpha and bump map)
- 3D simulated fuselage strenghtening just above the bomb bay doors (just visible)
- Very weak internal reflections
- All black tyres

Things waiting for the paintkit:

- fuselage roundels and marking on the right side will be moved forward

3D suggestions:

- removal of the G-H antennea just below the pilot
- long mast early type pitot more forward
- needle type propellors
- removal of the mid-upper turret collar

Question: is there a way in FSX to "remove" parts by painting them transparent? So far I can only make them shine like silver while adjusting the alpha channel.
