Hi all,

I'm having problems converting the mdl to CFS2 and not sure what I'm doing wrong. Admittedly, I'm a bit rusty but correct me if I'm wrong in the conversion process:

mdlc/f b25j.mdl

mdlc/c b25j.md8

mdlc/t b25j.md8 b25j.md2 f

The first step completes successfully, but when I try to do the second step I get a message that says 'not found' and the .md8 file is right there in the same folder.

You are REALLY rusted...:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

First point:
mdlc/f b25j.mdl b25j.md8

Second point:
mdlc/c b25j.md8 b25j.md2 f

Third point:
rename b25j.md2 as b25j.mdl

Hi Peperez,

Well, it still didn't work. I downloaded the mk_mdl ver 1.90 from our library in case one of the files in my folder was corrupted and made a second attempt which appeared to work but the plane didn't show up in the menu in Free Flight.

Your install is corrupted

Some conversion parameters are lacking. Look for CONVERT.MD8, CONVERT.MD2, CONVERT.MD...
 
Nice plane!

Converted well using Morten's Windows interface. It only needs a new airfile and a DP. Fantasticaly well done model!

Hi again Peperez,

Sorry, not sure what I'm looking for. Are these suppose to be in the mk_mdl folder? If so, they are not there.

This is my install

The Crash Bug Eliminator, the ISFT and the Light Eliminator are personal packages. You need all the other stuff.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I downloaded an earlier version (117) and discovered I was missing several files. Went back and converted the model and everything worked as it should.

I lost everything to a virus a few months ago and I'm still working on getting things back up to speed, a little at a time, then backing up to dvd's!

Missing Rudders

I too had a problem converting the same plane. My issue was the rudders are missing after the conversion. Everything else was fine. I used mdlc version 2.0. I didn't use the version 1.90. Should I have used that instead?

Senor Pepe, my "powers of discovery" are at a standstill...

I can not locate convert.md2 anywhere, in any zip, anyHOW.

Could you please share where you found it ?

Hmmm...

I have ALL available versions of Archisoft's MDLC [new d/l AND archived], but none has the file convert.md2 in them before or after installation.

Does anyone out there have this file for sharing ?
