There was some way to do this but can't figure it out.

Wasn't it a small button at the (bottom) side of the stick?

You may have to press it twice. Think it's on the panel lower area??

Thanks guys. Still struggling to find any click spot in the general area I remember it. Can find a clickspot for the tank selection but nothing for the the drop. Also, would there be a way to tweak the model e.g. with a hex editor, to get the tanks off completely from the model?
