As good fortune would have it, I'm not the only bird in the family to be
such a huge WWII history buff. Was lucky enough to have a father-in-law
who is one of those notorious collectors, everything from medals, equipment,
whole uniforms and alot of informative-material of allied and axis sides.

I recieved from him not too long ago around eight or ten huge binders
with photos of nothing but PLANES,PLANES,PLANES and more PLANES!

There must be around five or six-hundred photos of just about everything
that was flying in that era. My daughter is going to help me here sometime
soon by taking photos of these to upload on the computer. After I get a
good start, I'll start featuring some of these every so often on the board
since I know some of you "Modelers" would be very interested.

I'll try to have something up in the next week or two! :ernae:

I think even those of us that don't model(the computer kind anyway)would love to see your photos because we all love aircraft.

No doubt about it Ceechow, absolutley. Have it on the board for this weekend, and now that Ive been
told by the Wife that we do have a printer/scanner, I'm hoping to use it. Only problem is,some of these
binder photos are out of magazine productions and may not exactly fit the scanner size.

That would mean hooking up more junk in my WW2 room, so I may just use the camera instead.

Also if I get the opportunity, I'm going to try and photograph my F.I.L.'s rooms that is full of
all the surplus he has collected over the years,(and when I say "full",I mean there is hardly any
wall that can be seen). I dont think he would mind, but I may have to do a "sneaky" recon
mission.
