Hey All,

I was looking through my albums (yes albums) the other day and realized I have 10 - yes 10 - albums by this guy. More than any other singer or band. I had no idea I liked him so much! :applause:

Your quiz - What was his nickname?

Hey All,

It is Don - the Gentle Giant. I just didn't realize I had more albums (or CDs for that matter) by him than anyone else. How about you all?

Make fun of me if you will, but I have most of all the albums (singles included) of the Backstreet Boys. There are some songs in there that have made me very teared eye on several occasions that I won't mention.

This topic kinda brings a tear to my eye, and nonfunctional Ears... Oh well no sense crying over spilled...well you know. I was a huge music fan before I lost my hearing and it went way back, I still have a very large collection of vinyl - around 3000 lp's at last count. Even though I can't enjoy them any longer I still can't part with them, maybe some day the implant I have will get upgraded to software that will make the music as good as I remember it, ya think...lol I actually picked up a USB turntable a while back so I could convert som eof the vinyl to Cd for the kids and friends, it is time consuming but I have stuff that can't be found on CD so it is interesting to see others enjoying some of the rare stuff. I even have a couple hundred 78 RPM records - No I didn't buy them as new releases I am old but not that old...lol.

The original question, who do I have the most of, I would think it is the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, I have 29 or 30 of their recordings, I think it s everything they had in wide release, I know there are a couple of obscure recordings I don't have, but I have everything I could get my hands on.

Albums

17 Neil Young CDs followed closely by the Rolling Stones at 16.

Regards Rob :ernae:

P.S. I saw Neil in concert this October in Winnipeg. What an awesome show. When he first came on stage he got a 5 minute standing ovation.:applause: He seemed really proud to be playing in his 'home' town as it were and he talked a bit about growing up here. 2 hours of hits followed by a kicking rendition of the Beatles' A Day In The Life.

P.S.S. KEEP ON ROCKIN' IN THE FREE WORLD!!:woot:

LOL, I actually have Millennium and Backstreet's Back.

I have so many collections from so many artists, including about 600 vinyl albums I wouldn't know where to begin, LOL

Well ............. Stevie Nicks (solo and with Fleetwood Mac), 20+ Albums, Carole King, 12 Albums that come to mind, and on CD and Vinyl, shock horror, 38 Rolling Stones Albums!!!!!
:faint:
How embarrassing!!!!!!!!

Kind of odd collection of music I have....nearly 500 CDs, and the most I have of a single artist is 4 (tie between Bob Seger and Alabama). There are so many types of music that I enjoy that my CD collection looks like a miniature music store. I have every thing from 16th century Gregorian Monastic Chants to Classical, Big Band and Swing, Golden Oldies, Acid Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, County, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Hip Hop, Soul, Mo-Town, Ethnic (Irish, African, Native American, Traditional Japanese).

Sounds like me OBIO, My CD collection covers quite a range of music Although I would have to say my largest collections are the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel, I have all the albums both those groups put out plus numerous greatest hits albums.

Well I never counted my collection of vinyl and CDs, but it´s a lot! But when it comes to most of ONE artist/band it´s: RAMONES, simply because I have all their albums, plus some live-vinyls and compilations (17 pieces). But it could be wrong , there´s another big hit in my shelves: Depeche Mode, all their albums, plus all maxi-singles and EPs from the first four albums (29 pieces).

Hmmmm, I guess that it would be Rush followed by Genesis then Kansas. those are my top three. I've got lots and lots of other stuff but those 3 are the most numerous in my collection.

Hmmm...between vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and 8-tracks (OMG! :costumes:) I'd probably have to say Beatles and Paul McCartney/Wings. The next closest (guessing without having access to my inventory) would be Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Pink Floyd, and Journey, in no particular order and counting in DVDs.
