MVG3D FIAT CR.42 Italian WWII fighter or Caproni Ca.3 WWI Italian bomber ?

Although the Caprioni is perhaps the more interesting model I voted for the Fiat, because I will most likely fly it more often.

However I'm greedy as the rest here.... so I wouldn't object against both ;)

Thanks,
Huub

I share this opinion, so probably the CR 42

anyway we are spoiled so please do what you like best and if it is the Ca-3 i may well become addicted :jump:

I would tend for the caproni, as I have already had the possibility to spend a lot of time in the CR42 within the CFS3/ETO/MAW-world. But I would also really apreciate the Falco within FSX or FS9.

Cheers

Hi Italflyer,
The CR.42 I'm actually working is an "hard" conversion from the original Italianwing CFS3 model. The "conversion" is almost a complete remake and NOT a simply "porting".
I hope I'll finish before the holydays, but I'm not sure.....
I posted the poll in order to know if I must stop working the '42......

Manuele,
there should never be a "must" here - please, do what you're doing because you enjoy it, and do what YOU want to do. All of us here will be happy to have whatever you care to give us, and when you are in a position to make it available. There is no schedule, no delivery date - it's ready when you think it's done,
best regards,
Ro

Hi MVG3d

The Fiat CR.42, J11 in Swedish Air Force with swedish marking.

Of course, I´m like ALL your aircraft.

Ciao Manuele!

Already read in an older post of yours that it will not be an easy task to "port it over" to FS9.

I really apreciate the hard work you and others are putting into bringing these old birds to a new "life". And I adore the skills of people like you!

Cheers

Hi Manuele,

I'm fine with whatever you do, but the Caproni looks more unsual to me, so I'd go for that one.

Best regards,
Volker

Hi Friends,
During the last Friday UNFORTUNATELY I lost the last worked CR.42's files due to GMax known Gremlin!!!!!! Strangely the GMax automatic backup files are corrupted too (?). The base VC was almost finished..... GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
BUT i still have a file i worked during September, so I lost only a month of work.............
:censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

P.S.: A silly question : Do You know a method to recover GMax corrupted files ?

Sorry to hear that Manuele, that's really a small disaster! I can't help you with the question about corrupted GMAX file.

I am sorry to hear that Manuele. I wish I could help but I know very little about GMax. Someone here can probably help. I hope you can sort things out.

John

Hey Manuele,

That is indeed bad news. Please see this thread to see if it can be of any help.

Also posting this request at fsdeveloper.com might yield you better help as thats where all modelling discussion takes place.

Hi Denny,
While I'm attempting to work on the old '42 GMax files......
I'll make many liveries using and modifying the original CFS3 textures by Alex Biagi (Italianwings), almost all of these are finished:
A) - Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force) - ~15 liveries for all the versions - I'm still working.....
B) - Hungarian Air Force - 4 liveries - Finished
C) - Belgian Air Force - 1 livery - I'm searching for a pic/profile with the underwing codes.
D) - Swedish Air Force - 1 livery - I'm still working.....
E) - Iraqi Air Force - 1 livery - finished
