• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

File Library Teams

We need Teams of members to help us restore the file library to this server. I would prefer to tackle this with members from each forum section.

The new file library has the same structure as the old library. One for one we need to download the files and then upload them here. I almost have a document done to show you how to upload files here. I need to know who will be helping us so I can get permissions set correctly. Once the file is uploaded you will change the file owner to the original member who uploaded it.

Once it is uploaded here I want to remove it from the old library.

And on another note uploads at our old server are shut off. Upload all new files to this server. The resources section is actually pretty cool.

Put me down for all the non-aircraft/skins for FSX to start with (scenery, ships, panels, etc., etc., etc.)

It should be a good test for my new 1Gb fibre connection to see how fast I can get the files down and back up! :unsure:
 
I am willing to help with some either FSX or P3D. I will check out your doc when it is done to see if I am able to assist.

ETA on the Migration? Still slowly getting years worth of stuff installed on the new computer. The scenery library here would be nice. I'd help but I don't have the bandwidth (Slow DSL)

One thing I failed to add to the PDF. If you have Resources editor permissions and the owner isn't member of SOH anymore make the owner of the upload NMG and is the catch all for old CombatFS members, members who did not sign backup after the 2008 crash or has since left SOH.

I completed both the Cold War and Vietnam texture sections a while back but they are not yet removed from the old library.

Around 30 days left to get 4178 entries moved from the old Warbirds Library to the new Resources Library!
 
Reporting for duty, Whats the deal with FSX WW2 Skins? there dos'nt seem to be any movement on that, i'll take it if its free, if not i get cracking on FSX civilian prop skin's
 
Klein marked you down for FSX Civilian Jet and Ian Elliot marked down for FSX Military skins - WWII and FSX Civilian prop skins.
 
I have 7 pages remaining on 2004 civil prop skins and should have that completed by today so you can assign me another to start on after that (FS2004 or FSX of course).

Al, thanks very much for all the file transfers you've done. FS2004 will be complete when you finish the civil prop section.

The FSX repaints sections have been allocated but I don't think anyone will complain if you would like to help.

Perhaps you can liaise with Ian, Martin, Allen, Falcon or Takao-Kichi.
