• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

File Library Teams

Most of the conversions that I have found here or elsewhere for Greg Pepper’s S-51 have been limited to being FSX portovers. However, there were two files which were full FSX native conversions which used to be in the Warbirds library here – respectively version 1 and version 2 as "fsx_s51_helo_1.zip" and "fsx_s51_helo_2.zip". For what it is worth, the nearest that I can find to identify the originator is eidos2.

Anyway, the point of this post is that neither file is now available in the old Warbirds library nor in the v4 Resource library. Were these files deliberately excluded, or deleted by some anonymous person, or have they simply fallen by the wayside ?

Both of those were uploaded on the old server as the owner NMG.

As we were working diligently to move everything some adjustments just could not be made at the time. The cool thing about this software is a single entry can have 5 files zip or otherwise uploaded to it. This update should be added as a second zip file to the base unit for easy access. Those kinds of tweeks will be some time coming. Most of us are worn out and I still have a lot of server work to do. Time to shut off the monthly billing on the .com server and get it shut off the end of the month.

In addition there were many files which resided simultaneously in the FSX, P3D and FS2004 sections of the old library. That option doesn't exist when making a single upload to the new library. If you want a file to appear in more than one section, you have to do a separate upload to each section.

If files appear to be missing in any of the above sections, check the other the other two. This problem may occur to a much lesser extent between CFS2 and FS2004.

We need Teams of members to help us restore the file library to this server. I would prefer to tackle this with members from each forum section.

The new file library has the same structure as the old library. One for one we need to download the files and then upload them here. I almost have a document done to show you how to upload files here. I need to know who will be helping us so I can get permissions set correctly. Once the file is uploaded you will change the file owner to the original member who uploaded it.

Once it is uploaded here I want to remove it from the old library.

All covered in the document I think... Still writing it

And on another note uploads at our old server are shut off. Upload all new files to this server. The resources section is actually pretty cool.

Please reply in the thread below with your intention to help and which section you will help with.

Dave,
I have an extensive library of ZIPs from CFS2, MS2004, FSX.
Just let me know what is needed.
Lee
