Thanks for making it look good, excellent screenies :ernae:
There will be more.... yes !

Hi Dag,
the repaint looks good, but on mine the aircraft appears black with a blue section on the wing between the engines. Is this something which I could fix myself?

Regards,
Ian

Ian,
Have you placed the texture in the correct version of Cat? If it's in the PBY5 mil folder and added the cfg entry in the correct cfg file then all should be well.

Hi Roger,
I've re-downloaded it and now everything looks fine. It really is a nice paint job.

Regards,
Ian

Its screenies like these that make me wonder if any FSX owner is going to be able to resist getting the Cat.

Lovely work, Dag.

Ahhh. Home again. Thanks Dag! It's Gorgeous!

Hi,

I received a PM on the issue below:

Are there anyone here that can prove to me that 210 Sqn applied DA-E reading the same on both sides and not E-DA on the starboard side like I did. I have studied quite a few photos of early RAF Mk. Is and followed the practice on No. 209 sqn and for that matter, the regulations specified by the MAP (Ministry of Aircraft Production), eg. individual letter to the rear. I know there are exceptions but unless there's hard evidence on the opposite I won't change. I will stick to regulations.

Thanks

Hi,

I decided to acommodate for all wishes so now the download features an alternative folder with Midsection and Nosesection modified with like sided sqn coding. Replace the ones in the "texture.DAE" folder with the ones in the "Like sided" folder.
Same download link.

Have fun.

Thanks

Thanks for all the kind words. Coming from highly respected developers, makes it even more worthwhile :icon_lol:

Dag,
My references show that the starboard side would be as you describe it. It was common practice to have a single letter aft of the cockade on RAF Aircraft. The two code letters designate the squadron and the third letter is the aircraft letter within the squadron. :wavey:

I also checked my books on the catalina but neither pictures or color plates show the starboard side.
