first class simulations lancaster

Yup.. I hear that. Re-lining and riveting something that size is a job too far:dizzy: I increased the aileron efficiency a wee bit as it seemed very slow to do an aileron turn and I can't remember now if it had a tendency to drop a wing slightly causing a slow turn. Must take it up for a quickie;)

The Wellington has a "wooden" appearance Dave? Maybe that's because it was made of wood. The Brooklands restoration, as you well know, shows this to great effect. Having said that mate, I absolutely agree with what you say regarding that look.

:encouragement:

Ah.. Mr 511:wavey:

While wood was used in various parts of the construction.. the outer skin was Irish linen, doped. Imagine how cold it must have been in one!!

In the FCS version of the Wimpey, a lot of the metal area s are also textured in the doped fabric texture that looks more like wood. It still bugs the blazes out of me now, but I rarely fly it. The Lanc at least doesn't have fabric/wood metal bits!

Yup.. I think the word we're looking for is 'dire'. I don't fly it often but when I do.. it's with one of the few repaints and never one of the release paints.

Was there ever a PK released for it? Don't recall seeing one.

Dave if you are talking about the Wimpey I don't think there is one. Are there any released paints for her
out there?

Hiya Joe:wavey:

Are we talking Wellington? I know there was a PK for the Lanc but links to it (probably here) are long dead. Never seen one for the Wellington. Matt's repaints must be the ones I have and use:encouragement:

Hiya Dave,
Yes I was talking about the Wellington:very_drunk:. I know Matt did some really good paints for the Lanc and I have
all of them. I think that he did his own PK for the Lanc but not sure, so if anyone can get in contact with him
it might be the best chance for the PK.

Joe

Bruce448 did a load for the FCS Lanc too.. most of which I have (from the library here). Can't see any Wellington paints here so I must have got mine from Allnodes. Pity the Wellie wasn't painted more.

EDIT: Checked Allnodes and there are 2 paints there (the ones I have) done by IanW no less.

What??? $20 of difference? :dizzy:
Anyway, got mine and i´m happy flying it. Now, to the repaints! :encouragement:

JensOle Gorgeous Lanc paint !

Pity the Wellie wasn't painted more.
This is a paint I have been working on for FSX - Flight Simulation, have not finished it, other things got in the way but I'm sure I could easeily put a 'K'with the registration ::) , other projects got in the way ..

Does anyone know of a way to bind the bomb doors to a key?
I've had this with the old JF Mosquito. You could try the usual ones for tailhook, wingfold, airbrake etc - one of them might work.

no, I contacted FCS a long time ago asking about the availability of paintkits for their models, their reply was "their models does dont have a paintkit however programs like fs repaint will allow you to paint them"

I made a lash-up paint kit to get some better skins for the Lanc a few years back. Basically just painted over the old texture files and used the bump maps to make panel and rivet layers. Worked OK for me. Currently Jens-Ole is working on it; if peoples want it we can make it available when he's done.

That's jolly decent of you Dave:encouragement:

You didn't happen to do one for the Wellington too did you? Between the two.. it's definitely the Wellington in need of some TLC.
