I tried to upload a new flak.wav but it said offsite downloads have been disabled. What is that? All downloads come from offsite the website doesn't make em.

You need to contact the Admins to be able to upload to the library.

In uploading you are depositing the mod at SOH - no click through links to offsite locations allowed.

There are different restrictions on file types & file sizes for attaching to a thread.
 
Must be because I didn’t contact the administration because the file I wanted to upload was on my laptop not from another site etc. shouldn’t let you if fill out anything if y need permission first.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Sounds Add-Ons

Description: This replaces the flak sound in your cfs2 Sounds folder. It is much louder than the original as it uses the explosion sound from the same game. I like it and hope u do to but just in case mommy always said to back up the original in case this doesn't suit your fancy.

Thanks. I did this for CFS3 many years ago and it really made it sound better. I remembered and wanted to use it in CFS2 as well. I just finished making a new Japanese bomb using Allen's Japanese weapons. I'm redoing my Pearl Harbor Kates so I took the 50 kg and converted it to 60 kg by name editing and it requires opening the bgl with a hex editer to change to 60 as well. I installed new effects to the bombs. Been busy it's been years since I modded CFS 2 I'm still trying to relearn the key layouts in the game.
