Flight 19 Meander

We left Utah heading south to the Grand Canyon. Once we sighted the canyon, we started following it down a little ways till we got to AZ40 where we're going to stop for the night and then do a run down the canyon.

Here's a few pics...

Forgot to add that someone (not mentioning any names) had the idea that they could fly under a dam.....

Yep, nice flight if you don't count my "G-stress induced" crash, lol. It did give me a chance to load up the Bf 110G that Willy put me onto from the Ground Crew. . .excellent model.:salute:

Great flight from the Grand Canyon to Death Valley via Las Vegas. O' course as we flew near Vegas, I had to go buzz down the strip. Just keep in mind that mine is the 1959ish version.

Interesting shots Falcon. That's some fancy scenery podnah.

Furnace Creek looks a bit sparse from my cockpit...

We left Furnace Creek with a pesky young foofighter in tow. He was all over my six, but as usual, Fred the tail gunner was passed out back there. Not a bad flight over Southern California passing just north of LA and landing on some Navy base near Catalina Island.

The Messerschmitt couldn't keep up in a headwind on the way to Moffet Field, so I switched to something a bit faster. Don't know if I'll keep it though...

After a stop in the Channel Islands, we turned north up to the Bay area to Moffett Field. Had some fun flying through one of the giant blimp hangars.

Got a deal on this wooden wonder. Figured that maybe I could make it through the redwoods with it with them thinking it was part of the herd. Didn't make much difference though as when I landed, the nose wheel folded up putting me to skidding along on the nose for a ways before it flipped onto it's back and crashed. Boy that engine got packed full of dirt.

Anyone got any Elmer's wood glue?

pics are in reverse order....

Forgot to take any pics enroute to Sun Valley Idaho. Pretty nice flight once I got Otto over trying to kill me on the start. I did get a couple of pics after we landed though. The first two are of the group and the last is to show Moses was was there when I went offline.

Made a deal with the local swap n shop on a slighty used NDM. Other than having more holes than a cheese grater, it seems to be in good shape.

Here I was flying along kinda low and this Montana cowboy on his horse whips his 30-30 out and starts blowing holes in my wings. Hope that horse bucks him off and stomps a mudhole in him.....

Got a deal on some long nosed Focke Wulfs (on sale at A2A). Thought I'd try out a 190D-11 first on the flight from KFCA to CYLW. And I was hoping that the Mounties would see the red & white paint on the bottom and thing it was another Canadian. At least I didn't get any more holes blown in the wings.

Next up, an old favorite of mine...

A couple of photos from last night flight. preparing for take off at KFCA, Parked at CYLW getting ready for some local spirits.
