I wasn't much older than him when I flew in my first aircraft! I was 13 when I joined the Air Training Corps (ATC) in the UK and a few weeks later I was flying in the type shown in my avatar, a De Havilland Chipmunk. I got to experience aerobatics on the first flight too and even got my first 'stick time' as the pilot handed over the controls for a couple of minutes! Happy days!
