Hello!

My pleasure to announce that the DMv2.0 is out! A few bugs fixed, an interface with FSCaptain, and last but not least, COMPATIBILITY with P3Dv4 of the WHOLE Islander (except the KLN90a). Cockpit sounds are back and no more never-ending rumbling sound! (thx to Bert Pieke and DJJose).

The following systems will wear out and will be inflicted damage in case of improper use :
- engines
- generators
- propellers
- flaps
- flaps motor
- flight controls
- autopilot
- vacuum
- pitot tubes
- brakes
- structural deicing (the corresponding switch is added to the virtual cockpit)
- landing lights

Extra features :
- avionics dying if on when engine starts
- blown tires in case of hard landing
- foul spark plug if engine runs at low rpm and rich mixture for too long, (rpm drop during mag dead-cut test simulated)
- engine dies in case of quick throttle movement with fuel pump off
- sluggish engine response to throttle input with cold engines
- door lock and alarm

Please find it on Avsim :
https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=208802

And on FlightSim :
https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=204704

Should be available soon on Flight1's Library too.

As always, feedback will be much appreciated!

Enjoy, and fly safe,

Cheers!

PS : The TF-VEJ livery is included in the package

A special thanks to Flight1 crew who very kindly allows me to publish modified MDLs!

Just wanted to let you know Keke that I am using the new version and just loving it. I even turned the avionics and ice back on and am starting to get througg flights with almost zero damage.

I am so inspired by your mod that I have gotten in to the realengine mod and have figured most of it out too and am currently working on my AS beaver with it.

I would love to start a massive damage mod thread here where everyone can post their ini files and other damage mod file using the techniques you used for your mod and I know the ghy that made the Cessna 150 used the same type stuff.

I would love to see a simple jet engine damage mod and I see the same guy you know of made some inspection mod for the fsx Caravan and may be doing the same for the Carenado version.

I think these damage mods are a huge development for sim improvement and i think would take off once people like me get over the fear of implementing these things. I thread here called " The huge damage mod resource thread" that would get all these damage mod resources in one place would be so nice to have. I will start this thread but first I want to have maybe a few planes done with realengine or anything else I might learn first so I can share them in the opening post.

Anyway,, I am really in to this and want to thank you for getting me interested in it.

Mark here is doing the same type thing with the Ice guage and im hoping he will add a 50 percent file folks could use in the really bad weather areas like Alaska. That Ice guage is an important part of the damage stuff.

Thanks again and I hope you will continue your explorations in to this important sim feature that makes the flying so much more fun.
