placer county sheriffs PA-31,with personnel heading to todays funeral in riverside for dorner's first officer victom.i noticed on my other post no one commented,,which is fine..but im a bit miffed as to why,i know many of you have militay,police/law enforcement,or fire fighting back grounds....as do i..where im from..we are all one big community, yes the cops will take us/me to jail if i break the law.but i wont hesitate to run into danger to lend an officer aid if he or she has "gone down"..i wont say i was "outraged" by the events that started just after the superbowl, with the shooting of the young couple, but when i heard about the so called manifesto,i defiantly became concerned ,and the ambush on the officers in riverside was kind of shocking to me,made think of a third world country, where not even the "good guys" are safe on the streets anymore.and then yesterday...the "search party" as it were, didnt infact find him and hunt him down...it seems he made a mistake ,he had been hiding under their noses the entire time,if you listen to different reports, its either he held two women hostage from thursday on,when his truck broke and axle and he torched it,,to he broke into the empty motel/cabin unit, tied the women up and stole the truck...was spotted by the california fish and game, had a shootout,he crashed,,ran to the cabin,,ambushed the two deputies ,killing one and critically injuring the other..then they had (from what news personel claim) a ongoing, several hour gun battle ,and just after 4pm pst the cabin ignited and burned until after 6pm,when we lost coverage due to the state of the union speach, later in the evening, they retried a body they said they can identify as dorner's.

what bothers me ( not just here, meaning,i know yall are into aviation and this isnt that,)but on the net alone,,in his manifesto,he said he would kill any law enforcement, anyone tied to law enforcement, and anyone who came to their aid..to me that meant fire fighters EMTs and civilians..chatting with people that past few days..i was ( not shocked) but outraged at the people who said to me,that the LAPD deserved everything that dorner could dish out..that all cops are bad..and that dorner should be left alone...sickening to me...

Daveroo,
I imagine most of us got enough of Chris Dorner on the news and that probably is why your original post didn't get any response. LAPD has historically had a poor track record of holding officers accountable for improper behavior. And for decent officers it's a "go along to get along" scenario. Assuming Dorners's allegations were true, he bucked the system and paid the price. I applaud his integrity, but he should have known how it would play out. Then he should have moved on, but instead he let it eat at him until this past week's events played out. The officers he killed never wronged him, they were only guilty of being on duty when they met up with him. Regardless of how many Facebook fans he picked up or how people feel about the police in general, Dorner committed murder, plain and simple. If those remains in the cabin are in fact his, he got what he deserved - and what he predicted.
