I am enjoying this map addon on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

FlightMap is a useful navigation utility and moving map for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) and Lockheed Martin's simulator Prepar3D. FlightMap is a second screen GPS style application that works with FSX and Prepar3D to plot your simulated location and flight plans on Google Maps.FlightMap utilizes the free server component called FlightConnect that runs on the same computer as the Flight Simulator. You must install and run this server before FlightMap will be able to function. FlightMap currently works on Wifi networks only. You can download FlightConnect from my website at:

FlightMap is designed for 7 and 10 inch tablets. I have not tested it on other size tablets.
FlightMap offers the following features:
1. Maps your current simulated airplane position on top of Google Maps
2. Supports Satellite, Google Standard, and Height map display types
3. Shows simulated gauges for Air Speed, Altitude, Heading, and Fuel Levels (10 inch tablets only)
4. Support for General Aircraft Air Speed Indicator (<250 knots) and the default 500 knot indicator. (10 inch tablets only)
5. Overlays compass rose on top of the map view for easier navigation and orientation
6. Support for ad-hoc flight plans via the built in plan mode.
7. FlightMap has a database of over 500 major airports throughout the entire world that can be used as part of the ad-hoc flight plans.
8. If you have an active flight plan within Flight Simulator X, FlightMap will plot the waypoint in GPS mode and automatically update as you pass each waypoint.

The developer, Eric Banker, is looking for more beta and alpha testers for new features and apps:
