Flightplan Problem

Recently FS9 has developed a problem some flight plans I do when the loading screen come up it comes up with something saying about missing flight plan associated files. Ive had this problem for a month now just want to know if anyone has had this problem before or can help me in anyway. If it helps my flight simulator files which is in my documents is where all my flight plans go to but it is now corrupted so might that have something to do with it and can it be recovered.

It sounds like your default flight is looking for a flight plan that no longer exists.

Try making a new default flight.

cheers,
Lane

In your fs9.cfg, look for the situation= line. If that entry is blank, then the Sim is hard-coded to look for the FLTSIM.FLT in the ..\Flight Simulator 9\Flights\other folder. If the cfg entry is blank and the flight is missing, then you will get an error message and the Sim will close.

If there is an entry in the situation line, but that entry points to a flight that for whatever reason can't be loaded (missing, corrupt, whatever), then you'll get a message that the flight file can't be loaded and that it will then try to load the default (FLTSIM.FLT) flight as mentioned above.

I think im just going to have to restore my laptop to its default settings I just want that corrupt file back and it looks like the only way of doing so.
