I visited this place in the German Eiffel fifteen years ago, and we went back last weekend. It's a private collection with a lot of German aircraft obviously, but also a lot of Russian (Former DDR), British and American aircraft. Of course the USA and UK had fields in Germany; in fact Spangdahlem AB is not far away from this museum.

Took 350 photos that day and it was hard to select a few to post! :)

Thanks Cybr! I must say the place looked better than it did fifteen years ago from what I remember and what I see on some old photos. Still a lot of work to do though, the 'He-111' looked pretty bad in close-ups.

Anyway, I've sorted out a few more to post:

Ferry, you must give me the address, I'll sure take a look overthere, now the holidays are around the corner!
Great pictures, it's a massiv collection they have there.
Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Rob

BTW I'm not quite happy with the new 'auto-resize' feature of either this forum software or Photobucket; I manually resized to 1024 width but they show up at only 800 pixels wide, but appear to loose more than a bit of quality.
Oh well, if anyone wants a bigger photo let me know and I'll send it.

:)

I checked and it is definitely the SOH forum software that limiting the filesize to 800 px wide.

Fabulous Photo's mate, I'd love to have a day wondering around there, lots of historic and brilliant aircraft I must admit I love that swiss C.3605 target tug, would love one of those for FSX!
