Fly By

Just wondering if there is a way to have aircraft do a 'fly by' in external view, rather than the limited (to my mind) floating view. Like how that function is available in FS9 and FSX.
 
The only way I have found to do a fly by in CFS2 is to get the plane centered in the middle of the screen, pause the sim, get up from my chair, go to one side of the room, then run really quickly to the other side while making airplane sounds. Not real convincing, but better than nothing.
