Flying a 1943 PBY-5A Catalina along the West Coast & Landing on Water.

The pilot was mentioning that back in day, landing the PBY in water would sometimes result in breaking the airplane, i.e, knocking the floats off, popping rivets; thus they would carry golf tees and pencils to replace any popped rivets.
