flying Craig's DO-28

I know I am late to the party but I just discovered Craig Richardson's DO-28's yesterday. I downloaded them and liked the look of them very much. I can fly them well enough but I am baffled by the take-off.

I have tried with full, partial, and no rudder trim and full right rudder pedal but it veers left off the runway and into the weeds no matter what I do. I even increased the rudder_effectiveness to 1.20 in the cfg file but it didn't help either. I am locking the tailwheel prior to takeoff. In external locked view I can see full rudder deflection.

I noticed these entries in aircraft.cfg:
p_factor_on_yaw=2.00000
torque_on_roll=0.00000

Do they seem credible?

Was there a config or airfile mod that was released later? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bob's your Uncle!!!

That did it. I could take-off with no rudder trim just a good dose of right boot. Thanks a lot Craig. Excellent and very interesting aircraft you have modeled. AFAIK it's very rare in the US. I know I haven't seen one. Good solid bush workhorse just like I like. Probably better performance w/ a couple of small turboprops but I think the DO-28 is more graceful than the boxy DO-228.

It will be flying missions from my Air America lair in Southeast Asia. Know of any good repaints?

Kind Regards,
Obie
