Hypersonic Cargo Transport anyone? It's not exactly what I would fly, but it does look intriguing! Purchase link to the .to site on page, also on Marketplace.

It's a shame because the Flying Fries products are really well thought out and made.
I see the Scrapyard Monster as a work of minor genius.
Nonetheless I followed the link and ended up buying the Gabriel at half the price.
The Quasar will no doubt be around at the next sales round.

I’m surprised you warbird guys don’t have his awesome XF-11.

I’m picking up the Quasar in 12/1 when my next MS Rewards $10 auto redeem kicks in.

With the Quasar, you can fly into space and explore the sim in a new way. Twotone Murphy had Lordfries on his podcast recently and they discussed the study-level science designed into the model.

My only hesitation is that the design is not aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Kinda LEGO looking. Animations are clever however. I wish someone would make a Bubble Ship from the movie Oblivion.

Are you forced to use the weird alien or robotic pilots or can you use standard US/USN or the RAF addon pilot figures?

thx,

dl

It only sums up the views for the group of people here. The thread for the plane over at the MS forum is pretty active, including the developer. I knew this wouldn't be for everyone here, but the innovation involved in making this thing possible deserved a post.

I have both the XF-11 and Gabriel from Flying Fries. They are both very good. I will purchase the Quasar in the future because it is kind of a ground breaking design, but I'm choke full of planes right now between DCS and MSFS2020. Your mileage may vary (YMMV). I'm also waiting to see how TerraBuilder does with the implementation of "space" in the Kennedy Space Center supplement. Please don't let my present situation stop you from purchasing a very unique "airspacecraft" from a good developer.

Finally got around to taking this for a test flight. Soooo much fun, and so amazingly modeled for a fictional plane.

First flight was KSC Shuttle Landing Facility runway to KEDW. Maxxed out at about 300 miles up. Overshot KEDW a bit but managed to get it down safely after an SR-71-length turn. (Though I finished the rollout on the Space Shuttle dirt extensions to the runway.)
