Flying Iron F6F Released

I need to learn to repaint MSFS planes. For one thing, the Blue Angels Hellcat is the wrong color, they were not in the color which became known as Blue Angels Blue until the Blues flew the Bearcat. The were not non-specular Sea Blue either. The Hellcats used for three shows in 1946 were painted in a glossy Insignia Blue overall, with the yellow/gold lettering. This is from the boss Butch Voris himself, as per my conversation with him at a Blue Angels show at Oceana NAS in 1993.

Caz, it is not difficult, even I can do it, and I'm colorblind!
I wrote a tutorial a while ago, maybe a starting point?

Thanks much for the tutorial Jankees, I copied and pasted all three parts in Word. Does the F6F have a Paint Kit? They do always help. I would like to repaint the Blue Angles Hellcat, because the color is incorrect. I know this from the Boss himself, Butch Voris. I had a long talk with him at the Blue Angels airshow at Oceana NAS (VA) in 1993. There was no such color as what is now known as Blue Angles Blue then and the new demonstration squadron wanted something a little different than Non-Specter Sea Blue. So a decision was made to use a gloss Insignia Blue overall. In case you would like to take this on and redo it, Insignia Blue is FS 35044, sample attached. I don't know how to make it glossy in MSFS, as the original is matte, as shown by the FS number.

Thanks again for all your repaints and the tut,
Caz

Errata: FS is 35044, not 35055 as shown, color is correct, I goofed in PS!
