SOH-CM-2025
The annual Duxford Flying Legends air show is happening this weekend, and as expected there has been quite a bit of warbird activity at Duxford already this week, in preperation for this coming weekend event. "Global Aviation Resource" has posted a preview with photos of this weeks activity leading up to the show: http://globalaviationresource.com/v2/2013/07/10/news-flying-legends-2013-build-up-100713/
*Note the presence of the P-51D "Moonbeam McSwine". This aircraft had been owned by Vlado Lenoch since 1988, and was a regular at many Midwest air shows here in the US over the years, and a annual regular at shows like EAA Oshkosh. Vlado sold the aircraft several months ago and it now resides in France, along with the new owner's collection of other warbirds, including a Sea Fury. During this coming weekend's displays, "Moonbeam McSwine" will be joined in the air with the P-51C "Princess Elizabeth", which represent the two different Mustangs that were flown by Bill Whisner of the 352nd FG during WWII.
