Flying over NAS Cecil Field

FSX68, Yes, actually that was John Stinstrom's scenery that you posted about. And yes, I did provide him with a lot of pictures of Cecil, and information about the base in general. I have tried to stay in touch with him over the years. Both Jim S. AND Jim D. do create wonderful scenery, eh?

NC,

Jim D did a bang up job with NAS JAX (FSX).... I can't get over how that base has changed since I left there in '81 and was assigned to NAS Millington. My kid brother (GS-12) works down there
as a Quality Assurance inspector for the Depot side of the base on the P-3's /A-6'd and what ever else that they throw at him. He is a retired AMSC and I remember when his was a young airman
with the VF-96 (F4) crud crew... I would see him covered in gray paint from when he was doing his crud crew thing. He was there when Cunningham's (Mig Ace) came over from VF-96
to my outfit (VF-154) and as soon as he checked in, he promptly posted his gun camera (wide angle) photos on our Ready room walls of his Mig kills. He was "Mr Macho Cumacho" for awhile. Think he is in fed prison now.

I have a former shipmate, who was my LPO who also works at NADEP. Name is Jim Zettek. When you talk to your brother, ask if he knows him?

Hopefully I will be uploading this scenery in a couple days. It'll be the first time I've ever uploaded anything here. I think I'll confine it to just SOH for now, in case there are any glitches. Will let ya know. NC. just waiting for John Stinstrom to email me back.

Pete - Looking forward to seeing it. (I once (1977) did a RW night approach and T&G to NAS Jax in a C152 while I was working on my PPL. The approach controller was telling me to keep my speed up, the approach lights were blinding and I did my T&G at 90 mph - about as fast as the C152 will go.) Looking forward to re-living some of the flights to both Cecil and Jax.
