Flying Stations Canberra pack updates

WK128 repaint finally

Hello all,

Last year I received a request to repaint the B.2/TT.18 WK128, which at long last I have sat down and done. Going up on the site this weekend, all going to plan. This ranks as one of the most colourful Canberras of all time, along with the orange German B.2.

Testing from Lossiemouth, but it was based at Llanbedr at the end of its life.

Thanks Steve - well worth the money!!

Thank you Steve. It is well worth the money and provides much fun and enjoyment to FS 2004. Again, Sir, thank you. The download system and sales worked great.....the install went smooth as glass. GREAT!!!

The best kind of endorsement

Dear Ed,

Well, those words are music to my ears. Makes it all worthwhile knowing the not only is the project well-received but the download system works well too. I am very pleased with it and have very few complaints so far. Nice to know the price point is good too. $10 is about a lunch these days over here in California, so this being humble old FS2004 and all I think it is a good price myself. Not to put down the high quality work of big name developers, but sometimes I cannot justify a single variant add on in the $35 range. It is tough I realise, as I don't think you can ever even break even on the amount of man-hours that go into FS development, so I do understand the need to set a higher price point, but at the end of the day, Flying Stations releases will at least for the foreseeable future, be kinder on your wallets.

Thanks again for picking up these Canberra packs and supporting Flying Stations, Ed and everyone else.

Looks fantastic, Steve. Have 'em all, but can't load 'em right now. My new rig is on the bench, being assembled, waiting on a few pieces that had to be ordered. Will enjoy flying these very much when it is done, I'm sure. :ernae:

Hello Don,

good man, you are among the elite club of complete Canberra series owners! Thanks for picking all of them up and I hope you enjoy them once your new rig is up and running. They should not tax even an older FS9 system, as I was running a considerably older machine when I first started the project.

Cheers Jamie. And as I've said before, with the unlimited poly export method for FS9 now, you can cram a fair bit more detail in that before...now I know this, it should make for some smoother models down the line.

FDE update coming soon

Hello all,

Good news for Canberra fans - about a month or so ago my beta team and I were able to produce a new FDE for all Canberras. This update gives the correct high altitude performance that has been lacking to date - now you will be able to pass FL500 with ease and at the correct Mach as specified in the original Pilot's Notes. This was something I had never quite been able to achieve but with a big thanks to Henk S. for helping me sort this out, it is now possible. I am working on updating all packs with these new FDEs and will also make them available for existing customers via download through our site. Probably a week or so out, but I will advise when they are ready.

Cheers to all,

Steve

Hello all,

All Canberra packs have now been revised to include improved FDE files for more accurate high altitude and high speed performance. As with the real thing, you will now be able to achieve speeds of 0.72M and above at altitudes over 50,000ft with the basic B.2 type (6,500lb thrust Avon) and more depending on engine performance of your model.

For existing customers, you can download these revised FDE files from the pack's respective download page at Flying Stations.com

Any questions please post here - happy flying and a BIG thanks to Henk Schuitemaker for his help with these revisions.

Steve
