• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

There will be some tail lift when you catch a wire on a carrier, this was normal with tail draggers but you should not go over on to your nose, Seafires had their props shortened by approx 6 inches as so many were damaged by the tail lift effect.

Bruce,

Nice repaint, was it based on Eagle?
Let me know if you have any snags with the paintkit, I made it after I'd done my repaints so I'm not 100% sure if it works!!

Skippy

Edit/ So if I read posts on our own forum I'd know it was based on Furious!!

For some reason the landplane version doesnt appear in FSX for me :(
I may have to re download. The original installsation into my FSX install didnt work die to problems with a .mdl file,I had to install it inti a temp.folder & then cut & paste across.Anyoen get that problem,or should i re download?

Probably worth trying a re-download, although I'm the last person to ask considering the number of versions I have dotted around my hard drives!!

Well worth a read is War in a Stringbag by Charles Lamb telling of his wartime exploits in a Swordfish.

Regards,
Ian.
