Flying Stations Swordfish

The string bag book I have read is 'I sank the Bismacrk'

Brilliant book that deals with the Stringbag during the whole war and one pilots career, who it was found was the chap who managed to whack the torp into the Bismarck.

Downloading in a moment cant wait to fly this in FSX :ernae:

Oh, some of us folks on the 'wrong' side of the pond know about the Stringbags. :icon_lol:
Their exploits were featured in one of the favorite "Dogfights" episodes.
The "Sink The Bismarck" episode is probably one of the best, for both Sea and Air battle re-creations.

For those folks that like to watch instead of read:

Skippy Bing..........great model, thanks for all your hard work on this one, it was a privilege being on the beta team, thanks to all other members of the Flying Stations Team in getting the fde and paint on the line ready to deploy.

Bruce, love the Operation Torch textures, there really are a ridiculous number of schemes for the old bird!

Dominikx, there should be instructions for dropping torpedos in the read me, think it's on the last couple of pages somewhere, where I've dumped the contents of my brain into a word document basically.

Does anybody have a fix or replacement for the sound file? Mine has a noticeable annoying looping sound near full throttle? It looks and flies pretty well otherwise.

A great airplane and many thanks to the team responsible for putting it together and releasing it.

One thing I'd like to point out though. As the package uses an installer I installed it to a dummy FSX folder (I don't trust installers). Before copying from my dummy folder to my proper FSX I noticed it installed 9 new effects but I already had 3 of them in my FSX/effects folder. fx_obslight_white, fx_obslight_green and fx_obslight_amber. The thing that might be a problem is if someone runs the uninstaller it may remove this three effects files which I presume are used by some other aircraft or scenery.
