Flying Wild Alaska...new show

There's actually three potential good shows (back to back) starting at 9pm on the Disc Channel tonight. I may be going to lay down early..lol

Opinion

Like the show so far, but helping my dad working on airplanes it crazy what they say to cover things up, like the broken pedal on the pilot side and to think switching sides makes it all better! It's crazy to see the owner's daughter marshall those aircraft in, she has no clue how to direct aircraft.

If I'm not mistaken , did they say during the show that deicing fluid is $12 a gal ! I new that the av gas was around $5( ? ) . I'm going to quit bitching about paying $3.06/gal for gas . If you want to own a business in Alaska , you better be prepared for alot of very hard work along with daily stress and headaches . Nothing comes easy in Alaska but you can tell they love that way of life and the skill of these pilots is amazing . Can't wait until next Friday for the next episode . I think I'll DVR the whole series .

I liked it. Well, better that IRT anyways. I am looking forward to seeing the next episode.
I don't know if I would criticise the daughter quite yet though. Everyone has to learn sometime, right?

(Spoiler alert if you haven't seen the show, don't read further if you don't want details of the show)

I couldn't believe that the one woman lives in that remote outpost, and didn't expect a resupply until June of the next year! NUTS!
The broken pedal was unnerving, but I liked that the 180 was his favorite plane out of all the fleet. Neat show.

I certainly liked it but I thought it was kind of boring. Maybe the next couple episodes will be better...

It was awesome seeing several planes on there that I've seen in flight simulator (exact paints).

Entertaining show,....but gosh,....is it me,....or have they loaded up the show with a commerical every five minutes or so? Seemed like I was reaching for the mute button a lot more than normal.

I agree Brad. I guess I am going to have to set up the DVR from now on. I actually shut it off before it was over because of the commercials. That's the main reason I don't watch TV much anymore. It has gotten beyond ridiculous.

The show was pretty good. No worse than any other reality/actuality show out. I always find shows on Alaska interesting, live there is so much more different than in the "lower 48".
