I've just done a couple of circuits around Duxford, and absolutely love it. One thing however - is it me, or does the aircraft have a low rate of turn ? Turning cross wind then down wind In the circuit, I ended up a long way from the airfield. It's likely I'm taking it too gently, of course.
 
In 2005 a Italian Virtual Aerobatic Team uses FW190 in IL-2 for Formation flying
using a nice suiting paint

And, @Paul K I don't think the turn rate is too low, but I've been really throwing her around in a hamfisted way.

Thanks for that - yes, I think it's me being a bit timid with her. Time for some hamfist too.
 
Geez, I love this thing, I can fly it R/C (externally) like the Wildcat. I got the historic markings from FS.to,

One thing I notice about German WW II fighters; how the hell did the pilots see forward? The view forward from allied aircraft is much better. She was a delight to fly and land, but I was first thrown off with the taxing! (Read the manual dope, duh!). The rudders stop taking effect at low speed and one has to taxi using the brakes.

Flying Iron is knocking it out with their WW II aircraft, I have every one. Kudos!

This is such a beautiful plane. For the first time ever I started it up revved the engine and listened to it running for about a hour while I read the manual. Flying Iron has raised the bar again. If their B17 sounds this good I'll be a extremely happy camper!
