Flysimware Sierra C24R released

I looks great. It also looks like a half-dozen other planes I already have. Weird choice. Might grab it if it ever goes 50% off, but I already have a bunch of low-wing singles in the hangar with the Comanche 250, Warrior, Mooney, Carenado and Just Flight Arrows, Debonair and Bonanzas…

The market for this feels like "people who fly or have flown a Sierra in real life."

Just saw it on the marketplace and at 35$ seems a bit pricy for another mid range single engine GA aircraft, when like Denny I already have more than a few in my hanger.

I stick more with twins due to the speed advantage, but this one does look nice. Unfortunately, I'd probably never fly it.

I am pretty much sated when it comes to aircraft. With a few exceptions like the RV 8, I have quit buying aircraft. I am not into the legacy or heritage aircraft. I buy them to fly, and I can only fly one at a time. Like what was said above, how many similar aircraft can you have?

If anyone has this yet, is the external registration painted or dynamic?
FSW is still using the painted version.

The aircraft is very well done. Of course it's not A2A or Black Square level, but the textures and modeling are superb - probably the best I've seen for any MSFS addon so far. The sounds are also superb (I fly the Musketeer Super III which has the same engine, and it's like identical to the real one, inside and out). The flight model is very good too, and the cockpit half glass or full glass is really nice to have. The plane I fly also has dual Garmin G5's, GTX 345, and a single CGR30P engine monitor (this has dual). We have a GNS430W but FSW's Sierra has the GNS, or GTN/GTNxi as navigator options.

A recent Sierra update included a vastly upgraded Garmin G5 and it's looking excellent now

I suspected it was baked into the paints. That's why I went with the Grumman.

I asked a couple of weeks back on their discord channel if they were going to add a livery with dynamic registration sometime in the future.
and this was their reply:

"Mark has identified he will get to this after all the current issues are resolved. Focus is making sure todays update for marketplace fixes
the XBOX issues and then after that he has some things he is addressing. Probably then he will sleep for a day straight 🙂 and come up
for air to look at when he might schedule this. But he did say he was going to generate a plan white with dynamic reg for painters."

This is a really nicely done plane though, and I've been flying almost nothing else since I got it.
