Flysimware's Fairchild PT-26 Cornell released

If you happen to have the PT-26 and would like ATC to refer to you as "Fairchild Cornell" copy and paste the following over the [General] in the aircraft.cfg.

We did not change the old CFG atc name and the PT-26 says PT-29 in the games aircraft directory. I missed typed this and this also caused the kneeboard
checklist to not load.

REV 1.1 is getting released June 22nd....Oh and we added a second model with chrome effects for the 2 grey models:isadizzy:

Small correction!

We are not adding a chrome model. We had meeting today and the 2 grey models stay the same. I plan to have them painted by a full time painter in the future!

Initial Shockwave light entry for those that would like it.

Not perfect, but it'll do.

light.0 = 3, -1.1, -18.3, -0.9, fx_shockwave_navred_nl
light.1 = 3, -1.1, 18.3, -0.9, fx_shockwave_navgre_nl
light.2 = 2, -9.37, 0.00, 0.96, fx_shockwave_strobe_sm_2_nl
light.3 = 5, 0.00, 8.9, -3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old

Don't forget the shockwave entry in the [vcockpit01] section of the panel.cfg.

light.3 = 5, 0.00, 8.9, -3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old

The landing lights are hard coded so not sure if this entry will help!

July 20th we will have REV 1.2 available with some minor CFG changes including the engine configuration. I have to admit the new config is better!:applause: This gives you a few weeks to find anything you think needs to be improved.

1. Increased click area for rear trim lever.

5. Welded canopy to water tight as i found non welded poly's.

6. Turned off runway OMNI audio sound from radio config.

7. Upgraded gauge decals and increased pixels size for small number decals.

8. Updated gauge glare shields.

9. Slowed canopy animation speed and sound.

10. Replaced the rough draft knee-board checklist.

i read a comment on Flightsim.com and this person seem to think the price is too high. Well all of my pricing is based off 1 person working time. The other thing they did not like was my interior canopy bolts. This canopy was not easy to make and has over 500 hundred 2D and 3D mixed bolts. Ask me to do any work on the canopy and i would say let's make the price higher! 500 of anything is a very time consuming. I used 2048 pixels and used the exterior layout for the interior to match with precision. Nobody can add 500 3D bolts by the way so a mix was the best method. I am not the greatest texture artist but more of a good engineer and 3D graphics experience. I was shocked to this person removed the interior reflections which will show more on bright days and hardly can be seen in cloudy days. I think this person jumped to conclusions and did not test this new effect and would realize it does not glare as much as you think!. Maybe it could be lowered slightly if more people agree! Also I never expect my planes to roll of the assembly line with no problems. After 2 weeks of testing i find the testers do not find all the issues and so you can always count on a good update 30 days later after we hear more from the public. i would never post facts about our aircraft until it reaches REV 1.2 or REV 1.3......Since this company only has 1 person aboard! Thanks for posting!

Extra news on some other comments!

Ask me to do any work on the canopy and i would say let's make the price higher! 500 of anything is a very time consuming. So this is pretty good since I am not the greatest texture artist but a good engineer with 3D graphics experience. I'm a bit confused as to why you are ranting toward us about something said at another site. I see nothing negative being said here.

The extra news mentioned on the bottom is to share more news and see what members on this forum think of these facts i posted. This way I can produce better results in the future!

I think all of the posting are just fine here and like what was posted. i was asking more for your thoughts since I heard no negative thing posted here. Which is fine either way. But the main reason for the post was to let everyone know there is another update out! And i think all the updates put me close to what i wanted as a final result. In the next update we are removing clicking sounds for the transponder and radio!

JUST POST WHAT YOU LIKE AND DO NOT LIKE AND I CAN TAKE NOTES FOR REV 1.3 NEXT MONTH! THANKS EVERYONE!
