Focke Wulf FW190A-3, 7./JG2 France, mid 1942

Just uploaded this little project.

This is a CFS2 conversion of JRLUCARINY's FW 190 A-3 FS2000/2004 model.

It's an older model from 2003 and as such it is showing it's age. But since it is the only FW190A-3 model available I decided to give a new skin. A good paint job brings out the best in any model and makes it more realistic and that is what I have tried to do here.

In addition to a new paint job, it now has a Kelticheart blurred prop, and new flight files and panel from my work with the Team Daedalus FW190 series.

Salutoni,
Giuseppe

Here is a shot of new textures i'm doing:

That is looking very nice. It will be great to have a selection of good skins for this model.

If you would not mind a small suggestion, you may want to reduce the amount of weathering. That is not a criticism of how it looks, because the effect looks good. It's just about the history of the airplane. These aircraft were pampered babies in 1942 and the ground crews kept them very clean. It will be beautiful either way.

The panel is looking good too. I found that the way the model is built it won't show all of the panel which is a shame. There is no VC either.

There are a number of detail shortcomings in this model such as the guns, a stray polygon, etc., but the basic shape is pretty good. I don't have the skills to modify it but it could really benefit from a clean up. Even without that, good skins like the one you are doing make it a useful model for any early Luftwaffe missions.

Good work! :applause:

CK,
i agree at all! i've reduced the amonut of weathering and i've done a second skin, depicting the mid 1942 period too...
so we have a good choice of Channel Front period for the 190, Luftwaffe side.
I'll upload the skinpack this evening
Greetings,
Giuseppe

Description: Hello,

This is my rendition of a skinpack for the Focke Wulf 190a3 made for FS2004 by JR Lucariny and converted to CFS2 by Captain Kurt. It depicts two airplanes, the first belonging to the German ace Hassi Hahn and the second, 'Black Eagle', belonging to an unknown pilot of the 2th JagdGruppe, both deployed in France during mid 1942.

Riuscito MOLTO bene...
JUST RIGHT... ed allora incorporare il layer al texture finale..

Complimenti!!

Carlos
