Fokker D.21 conversion for MSFS2020

Haven't flown her in a while (a long while).

I'll reinstall and report back.

Same thing happened in my install. The only thing I can think of that the model is a port and that ports no longer work in the latest versions of MSFS.

I'm afraid that this will take someone with greater skills than mine to make her work.

Thanks for looking in to this. I wish it was something I did wrong.

Too bad, as I really like this little gem.

Yeah, portovers are pretty much broken for real now. They need so much rework to work that you might as well buy a 3D model and just create a real MSFS plane.

They always were somewhat problematic, so it's almost better they finally just broke them completely. It would have been awesome if the legacy support hadn't always had instrument and other issues... I'd love to pull in stuff like Piglet's awesome old planes -- I doubt we'll see a Kingfisher or lifting body anytime soon.

Last time I tried ports could be made to work (not CTD) by removing the mouseclicks using ModelconverterX, but they still don't work in VR.
It's only a 5 minute job so I will see if I can get it to work

I've made a new MDL file for the 1940 variant, I can email it to you to test if you like...if Ok I'll make one for the 1938 variant and we can get the OK from Daan.
You lose all the mouseclickability but it works (except in VR).

Report: no crash of the sim anymore when I load the airplane, but the throttle doesn't work anymore. All of my other addons (except the Rob Richardson Seafire) have working throttles, but for the life of me, I can't get this throttle to budge. Damnit!

Have you mapped your throttle to the Throttle1 axis or Throttle?
I use Throttle1, which is needed for Hawk/104/DC's Jets and presumably for the D21 as it works fine for me :)
You need to delete the Throttle mapping too, just have Throttle1.

You can set up a separate profile for planes that need the Throttle 1, then you can just switch profiles when going back to a plane that uses the standard axis.

I'll try that! Thanks all for the pointers!

Sounds like we might still get this beauty to work in FS2020 !?!?.

Even with clickspot limitations, I'll take it.

I hope Daan will give his approval.

FYI. Native MSFS version (looks like its coming):
