Amico Icarus.....how about making your AN2 work in FSX?....need it badly!!!!
Great in FS9.....:medals::icon29:----------anyone know a good AN2 that is decent in FSX?

Vladimir Zhiyulski has a FSX An-2. Unfortunately, the only definitve download source for it is/was Avsim.

But maybe you can find it on avsim.ru.

Tim's works ok in FsX with some alpha darkening on the props.

Thanks guys, I have those...but Ikarus´s FS9 AN2 is just fantastic, I flew it all the time. You can land that on a dime. ICARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!!!!!!!!!!!----ICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim's Colt is still available on SimOuthouse ?
I have only the one made by Vlad, very nice but it needs Alpha editing for the prop and the canopy as well, for SP2.

IMHO, the best An-2 came from Anton "Xomer" Nicholaevitch. She was for 2002 and later for 2004 and introduced some engine management and non standard startup. But, again, it is a port over.

I never, with a great deal of research, got it started. Eventually totally frustrated, I uninstalled it.

Here is Xomer's version. http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-ai..._desc=1&sopt_author=1&sopt_fname=1&minrating=

That one you found Alexander is Vlad Zhikhulsky's model.
Roger, it was all about turning all the knobs on, setting the mixture, applying a bit throttle and playing correctly with engine starter (a bit similar to what you have in the A2A P-47 wop3) Sorry, I don't have any documentation (there was one written in my language), nor I have FS9 installed on my rig

Xomer's An-2 is my favorite aircraft and a FSX version would be really awesome. If i remember it correctly, i had to tweak the starter to work correctly in FSX and there was a panel update for Xomer's An-2 at Avsim. And you have to remove the "render_3d_window=1" from the panel.cfg.

perhaps we will build and fsx version...we have at least seven new models working progress now. actually finishing the storch and starting a p38 lightning , perhaps later on august we can start an an-2
