Rhumbaflappy,

I thought this would interest you. It is an anomaly located southwest of Leningrad, and is basically a 23,000 foot "wall of water" in a box formation.

Any ideas?

Hi Rami.

Thanks for the headsup. The file causing this is an LOD8 file. Rename 'DEM4m00b_8.bgl' as 'DEM4m00b_8.bgl.old', and the anomaly goes away.

I'm not sure why the LOD8 had this, and the LOD7 did not ( same dataset ). I'll work on this and try to get a good BGL posted.

Hi Rami.

I've uploaded a DEM correction to the SOH Library, hopefully, it will appear in the next day or two.

"LOD8 CFS2 Mesh Correction DEM4m00b_8"

The extents of this file are N67.5, E15.0 to N56.25, E30.0

the unzipped BGL filename is DEM4m00b_8_fixed.bgl

Concerning a different problem:

When the Library was recently reconstructed, one of the CFS2 LOD8 zips was corrupted as you are aware.

I've asked Douglas how to replace the corrupted ZIP ( DEM8_18.zip ) in the Library, and hopefully I'll get instructions in another day or two, on how to get the file to him.

I suspect several library files may have been corrupted... not just one of mine.

That's good news rhumbaflappy! Thanks.

I kept the old .bgl file for quick combat. Get an enemy AI on your tail, head toward the "wall," and then pull a sharp turn and watch 'em go right into the drink. A good game of "chicken" at its finest! :wiggle:

Fun in quick combat...

Here's a shot of the whole wall, from sea level to 23,609 feet.

The next target is to take one of Sully's "shplanes" and drive it over the edge, asking the question "will it float?" :d

The answer is no...but she will fly!

Question,

dem4m00b_8_fix.zip is a broken link and can't be downloaded

and DEM8_18.zip is still corrupt.

Is there any other place to get these files?

I just wanted to use the full set of .bgl files if I could.

Thanks in advance for any info on this.
