Carlos,

I would be most interested.

Here is a pic I found of the gauge in question.

http://axis.classicwings.com/Italy/images/MC205-Aermacchi-cockpit.jpg

Sorry thats the best pic I could find quickly.

It is in the upper left. I believe the one in the lower right is the guage Manuelle is referring too. So we are talking about two different guages it seems. It looks like the upper left is the Airspeed and the lower right is attitude indicator. Is that correct? Or am I not following correctly?

Here's a new panel for the Fiat that you might find useful...
Any comments or questions will be gladly attended to...
Available as usual via PM...

Cheers,
Carlos:wavey::wiggle:

Corrections!

there was need for a correction on the bracing of the windshield... Sorry...
It is more faithful to the photo now..

Cheers,

Another offer...

Here is another example of the rendering possible for instrumentation...
I reiterate the offer to help... if anyone is interested...
The ones like the Salmoiraghi-Sperry can easily be changed... i.e.: darker background, etc.

Cheers,
Carlos:wavey::wiggle:

Hi Gaucho,
The view from the CR.42's cockpit is wrong, this is the Real plane, as You can see there are no wires and You omitted "some" bracing :

Carlos,
They look great to me. I wouldn't know the difference if Manuele didn't point it out.

After look at this for the Fiat, it would be nice to have some of the WWI panels remade. A topic for another time.

Kelti,
You've done an outstanding job on everything. After reading through your write up and doing some research of my own, I feel that he was of the old pilot stock. With the likes of Guynemer. Definitely a Knight of the sky. All of the extra work on the panels and gauges just takes it to the next level.

Its great to see masters at work. Manuele, Carlos, Stefano. Thank you.

Good morning,

I hope you guys don't mind, but I transferred the posts on the Cr-42 panel from the original thread to this one so that the original thread isn't inadvertently "hijacked." Please feel free to continue the discussion in here as you were. Salute! :wavey:

Basically... because

Carlos,

why don't you post your works here at SOH? Lots of people would be grateful, including yours truly! :jump:

Cheers!

Kelti,

Basically because I don't know how... lol I'm kind of ignorant of the procedures...
At any rate... if anyone is interested all it takes is a PM and I email the stuff right and
left... in a way... easier for me... and I am sort of lazy...
I have kept on asking until I got tired for someone to collaborate with me... someone like YOU who knows a lot
about the tekkie stuff... (or better said... I collaborate with them... being only a producer of artwork...) and
produce some high quality stuff for everyone's enjoyment...
Furthermore... I use the configedit program and do config files good enough for me... but not very sophisticated...
i.e.: just basic instruments for flying... and definitely not at the level of what most "aficionados" expect...
so I thought why clutter the choices with stuff that is not really all that good...
I just don't know how to do "pop-up" screens, etc.
Now, with people like you at the helm... one could really do exciting stuff... historically correct... quite realistic
looking, etc.

Cheers,
G.

I agree with Kelti.

If its help with the posting then no worries. Any that you have finished and have deemed ready for release can be uploaded. Just let me know and I'd be willing to lend a hand.

Manuele,
I see what you're talking about now. Though I must say that without you pointing it out, I'd never known.

Hi Blood Hawk,
Are You a modeller ? Do You remember the (very) old CR.42 Revell model in 1/72 ?
The Revell model had the same Gaucho's problem, they simply forgotten to add the central (very important for the structure rigidity in the real plane) braces !!!

:wavey::wavey::wavey::wavey:

I haven't built a model in years. I do know what you mean. Being someone who loves history I see things of that nature all the time. Especially in movies.

Thanks, but you are over evaluating me big time.

I haven't got the same technical knowledge like most members here, who can go in and modify aircraft models with Gmax, build new sceneries, create new objects, repaint planes so realistically that they pop out of the screen and so on....

I simply tamper with things until luck strikes and something passable comes out.

Cheers!
