For the first time in 50 years .......

I'm really. really hoping I manage to catch them this month. That photo is so evocative, can almost hear those eight Merlins purring away.

Would love to see them but unfortunately for me it is not possible.

Like the Go-Pro on the fuselage of the second Lanc.

If you haven't seen the plans for these two Lancs for the next 5-6 weeks, you may be surprised at just how much flying/displays they will be participating in. Just this coming weekend alone, they will be flying together in displays at Headcorn, Herne Bay, Old Warden, Sywell and Eastbourne, and single flypasts at Kenley, Littlestone, Whitstable, Woburn Abbey, Wyton, Ramsey and Peterborough.

Here is the complete Lancaster Bomber Tour schedule: http://www.warplane.com/lancaster-2014-uk-tour.aspx

Following the morning flight first reported upon, both Lancs went up again later today, together with one of the BBMF Spitfires and Hurricanes. Some great photos from that flight can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/22730494@N06/

Also, at the Wadington display on August 21st, they will be flying together with the Vulcan! http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafwaddington...m?storyid=11B3DBF1-5056-A318-A802C5A20D39A135
