SOH-CM-2026
Bonjour,

Almost finished:

bs3921.jpg
bs3922.jpg
bs3923.jpg

The "BS392" was on of the aircraft flown by Bernard Dupérier, CO of the 340 „Ile de France“ Squadron of the RAF.

As with my other Realair repaints it features:
- Redone all stencils and added lots more, so far i could find information and pictures on the internet;
- Pilot is repainted completely;
- Redone some bump-maps for some more detail (with RealAir approval);
- Several textures are now HD, 2048x2048 pixel for more detail.
- Improvement of the some details,

Bon week-end

Marcel

NOTE !!!
Edit by ickie to remove special carrecters in title so windows 11 users can see this

It looks superb, Marcel! I especially love the accuracy of the design details of the squadron codes, and all of the small details/stencils. Looking forward to adding it!

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks, merci beaucoup Marcel!!! :applause::applause::applause::applause:
Best regards,

Stéphane.

@ Huub: Agree!
Marcel said so because I asked him if he could make a "free french" repaint of the Realair Spitfire.
He ended up making this wonderful repaint... :wavey:

Cheers,

Stéphane.

I'm afraid it will be a double release , in my "research" i came across another "Free France" spitfire which was well documented:

pt7661.jpg

Flown by RAF 345 squadron commander Jean-Mary Accart, note the RAF roundels were over painted and replace by French ones.

Marcel

Captain Accart was an 39-40 ace (France Campain), not a member of Free French Forces, but escape to Africa via Spain (November 1943) and fight again in the newly created by himself "GC II/2 Berry" French squadron with french roundels but integrated as RAF 345 Squadron.

JMC

PS : Free French squadrons are RAF French Squadrons created before 1943 (Merge Free French Forces and French Forces ex-Vichy).

I see, learned again something, comes in handy when writing the readme-file. :)
