• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

For those that get sea sick.

The joke is that the targeted ads pick up "cruise ship" in the title and run banners under the video, for South Pacific cruise specials!

Amazing that the helos can fly in those conditions.

I'd definitely be gettin' my money back from the cruise line. :icon_lol:
Just goes to show ya, even with satellite weather info ships can still get in trouble. Wonder if they were serving liverwurst and limburger cheese sandwiches on the luncheon buffet? :barf:

Pitching and rolling

That is nothing! I used to go through that all the time on a GreyHound (DDD) in the Atlantic. Try riding a old Sumner Class in a Tropical Storm or better, on a midwinter transit in the Atlantic!

Look out for " Harvey the norfolk Buick Dealer"!!!!!

Hint:
Eat the Saltines and Bannas, taste the same on the way down as the way up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fibber, minesweeps have a so much better ride :d

But not as good as a Flower class corvette:jump::isadizzy:

I can picture in my minds eye whats going on tween decks on that cruise ship......

Besides passengers and some crew being ill,
safety lines strung across foyers,
side windows off limits,
open decks off limits,
shop fittings wrecked, contents spilled across decks,
galley functioning on a limited capacity, (no tilting stoves on these babies),
bilge pumps at 80 percent,
watertight doors closed and deadlights secured.

And there is always...always some cretin who wants to run around the lifeboat deck to keep fit.

On the bridge, lookouts trying to spot the large wave's and flotsom (nothing like getting a log thrown at yer when yer going down into a trough).
Radar man going ape just trying to puzzle out the surface clutter.
Yep, a wee bit uncomfortable, but not as bad as a four-master.
