WOW! Mirage, extremely fast and dramatic stuff! Watched in on Youtube in fullscreen and I'm speechless.

Why was it called the Burcher Bird?

Naismith, Focke Wulf gave all their creations factory-internal bird nicknames.
The Fw190A was the "Würger" what translates into English like "butcher bird" or "shrike".

Thank you everyone ! I am glad you enjoyed the video as much as I enjoy flying this bird.:ernae:

HERE is a wiki link to the Butcherbird. (hence the name "Cracticus" I gave to the FW190 in my video.)

Too bad you can't get the real one over here to the States Mirage. I think the only flying WWII 190s are in Europe somewhere. I know of an event that would LOVE to have it attend. Check the MAAM link in my Sig.

Are you refering to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum 20th anniversary, WWII weekend, a gathering of warbirds, June 4-5-6, 2010 ?
You're right, I would certainly love to be there. There are plenty of warbirds pictures on the MAAM website! Thanks. :ernae:

i love the 190, especially some of the proposed modifications... the V-18 U1 in particular...

Hello Huub, Thank you!
The music is from Audiomachine. The title is - Guardians At The Gate -.
It seems they release music to professional only, used for movie trailers!

Thank You David! I had the pleasure to read your FW190 late variants review today! It is just great and accurate! Excellent guide :ernae:
Thanks peter12213! I have been flying this beauty several hours a day for 3 weeks now! I have had some practice on landing! I must say it is hard to land without bouncing but with a little practice, it becomes a little bit easier providing one doesn't try to make a short field landing! (I use my Lysander for short fields!)
Cheers ! :running:
