Good evening,

For those who are using my modified files for campaigns which prevent the AI from crashing on takeoff, you may have noticed that the aircraft can be a bit difficult to control. I now know why...

In the aircraft.cfg file, look for these entries...

elevator_trim_effectiveness=2.00000
aileron_trim_effectiveness=2.00000
rudder_trim_effectiveness=2.00000

This means that the trim controls are twice as sensitive and effective as they should be. To fix this, simply change the numbers to this...

elevator_trim_effectiveness=1.00000
aileron_trim_effectiveness=1.00000
rudder_trim_effectiveness=1.00000

You'll notice that the aircraft handles a heck of a lot easier!

Thanks Rami! :salute:

The tweaking never ends and that's the fun part. Otherwise most of us would have moved on!

That's what happened to me and Il 2 - I could hardly get the planes off the ground, so , in the end I gave up and came back to CFS2..:running:

Great!

I knew something was wrong. My other P-36 in my Pearl Harbor install worked like a champ. I'll make the fix at once. Thanks for keeping at improving performance.
