FORD Tri-Motor Bonus Pack coming soon!

Garry & Ed,

this is more than just your standard bonus pack, it's the big 'chieftain 'o the puddin' race' pack (that's a haggis by the way, quoting the bard).

Still Tinkering :)

Hi Ed and other good people,

Still tinkering with the Ford - Ed is the one coming up with the ideas for even more liveries - I am tasked with being creative with some of the suggestions by Ed and some research for artwork done by Ed and sent through to me.

Much of the artwork is created from scratch up for the logo's and themes - hard part is keeping the artwork looking like it belongs in the era of the Fords.

This bonus pack started off with just a few - but my mate Ed just can't resist finding more ideas and suggestions - so I just keep painting them to suit his needs and suddenly we are screaming along towards 40 extra's - Plus he has a plethora of ideas about creating some AI regional batches of suitable Fords for simmers to use in their region or choice.

Anyway, almost 32 down and 8 more to go to hit the 40 extras goal so better get stuck back into repaint Fords:icon_lol:

Regards

Thanks Garry, great piece of work, Sir.

They built 199 Ford Trimotors. It would be interesting to look into which of the historic texture sets could be traced back through the service life of a single airframe.

Great question!

A very good question but do understand that NONE of these repaints can be 100 percent historical due to the limitations of the Microsoft model as it is.
Suggest you read the disclaimer on Garry's website that describe in detail the problems with the model and its limitations that he had to work with!!!
It was a very tough battle but he did a an outstanding job - I am sure happy and I am the one that PAID the money to get these 364 repaints done.
Yes Sir. Buy the book (I purchased a copy for Garry and a copy for myself) that was used to research the Ford Tri-Motor repaints done by Mr. Garry J. Smith. Many of the repaints are in fact four or five different lives of the same aircraft. Most of the historical aircraft have the Ford serial number on the inside of the cabin door to aid in tracking the life of the real aircraft. Garry has marked most of the fiction or non-real aircraft as such but he is not yet finished all the details (smile). Hope this will help you out in your quest. Take care.

Ed
