• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Found my old CFS2 box.

I remember having height hopes for CFS2. I loved Abacus Battle for Midway and was ready for more but with the MS quality aircraft and scenery. It was every thing I could have hope for tell I played the campaigns and found that the friendly AI most notably the Wingmen couldn't fight there way out of a paper bag....
 
One thing of note is the inside cover. The Zeros have orange drop tanks.

indeed, I remember my first time with CFS2 as well. I was very disappoined because I was not able to switch to external view until I figured it out later.
But somehow the graphical appearance hooked me and I stayed.

I use this sim since 2000. 14 years now! And CFS2 never had an update!


BTW: The Zero droptank has an attached fairing where connected to fuselage instead of the A/C side pylon used by CFS2.

Not sure what is up with the orange drop tank. Never see an updated drop tank as well.
