FR P-40N: News and John Terrell screenshots

Why is it that some models, such as this one, get bare metal absolutely spot-on, while others look like they've been chrome plated ? I'm not a painter, so I wouldn't know, but isn't there a standard 'accepted' way of doing bare metal ?

Got locked inside a broken telephone booth the last couple days ... Lucky SOH admin come in with a fire axe and got me out .....
