I have been tinkering with my MTO install and now my free flight & quick combat are not working. "Data files missing" ? What have I done?:help:

HP: If you click OK on the message can you still fly? If so you have exceeded the 100plane or ship limit, or have an installed ship with a troublesome DP.

Have been loading Rami's Desert Airforce missions & recommended A/C, scenery, and objects. Everything seemed to be working O.K. except for a few missing items in some German & Italian missons. My scenery has never looked likemy PTO & ETO install and there was some jerkey motion with the A/C in some missions. I decided to go back through Rami's ETO scenery install instructions. Also had to reload the African A&B airfields.
This is where the problems started. the missions seem to load O.K., just FF & QC are the problems. Clear as mud??:faint:

I believe from the sound of it...you exceeded the 100plane limit (possibly ships) or loaded up a ship with a bad DP.
Easy check: take the ship folder out of the game to the desktop or wherever and start up - no probs? that's the problem.
BTW - ALWAYS either cut/paste of copy/paste in and out of the sim. NEVER Drag in and out. This prevents other problems.
no go? then remove the A/C you installed into a temp folder and give it a whirl.
The 100plane limit can be exceeded easily without having 100 planes if you have pilots and more than one skin for each aircraft in your aircraft folder that show up in the sim.

Did not know that each skin was included in the 100 plane count. I will check out your suggestions, maybe tomorrow or later today.

I believe you are new to this forum. I hope my post will help you along in enjoying this Sim!
I hope you like this post. My only objective is to help fellow members to find most of the planes that have been develope throughout the years for this community by its dedicated developers.
My first recomendation if you to install Acman from this Website. It will enable you to install most if not all this planes in different Hangars and in different CFS2 Installs.

A WORD OF CAUTION
When you use the Acman and create a new Hangar you need to include the stock planes. What you can do is to make a New Folder and place a copy of the Stock planes in it. When you make the new Hangar just copy the stock planes from this Folder. Remember also that you are limit to 95 to 100 planes per Hangar. You do get up to18 Hangar with this program.
My secound recommendation is for you to install this utility from Sim-outhouse that will allow you to change planes and ships with in a Miision and Campaigns in secounds.
It also will give the ability to change whole planes Hangars and convert them into Ai Bandits in Quick mission as well as in Mission Builder.
This way you do not have activate plane after planes manualy. Its call mk_cfs2_uti2v.zip

My scenery.cfg was not in the proper order & one of Achim's African airfields packages was not properly loaded by me---so-- I sort of started over with Rami's guide for ETO scenery.
