Freeware Zlin Z-142!

I am the one from the PWDT. I made the textures, the sounds, and lot of other things.
To reply for your comment, my answer is no. Definitely no. This Z-142 was build from stratch, not a simple upgrade! There's more detailed add-on, more polygons, better textures, etc. Absolutely not compatible with FS2004. The similarity comes from one thing: both of aircrafts (Z43 and Z142) is a member of the same aircraft family. Lot of parts used both of aircraft especially the gauges and switches for example. But you can discover lot of similarity in the wings and the stabilizators too! Just as in the real life. But there's more polygon, as I said.
You are a talented repainter I know, so please browse our Z-142 texture folder and compare it to our old Z-43. I'm sure, you will see the big differences!

Ps: And one more thing. Z-43 was build with FSDS, but this Z-142 with 3DSMax... Z-142 for FS2004 build with Gmax by Milan Lisner who is not our team member. This is a generic difference!

Didn't download yet, but simply addon from my list "must to have".
In Poland we used a lot of Z-42 and 142 and this GA is still very popular in aeroclubs.

8. Starter – PRESS (max. 10 seconds)

3. Engine and fuel tanks check – engine must run
continuously with every fuel tank selected

4. Generator and battery charging check:
* SET 1800 RPM
* Generator warning light goes off
* VA meter - voltage 26-28V, current -
charging or 0

Colours on Att Ind

I must be showing my ignorance of Warpac / non-aligned countries' instruments here, but isn't it odd the blue is down and the brown us up? I know Russians do this instrument differently than their Western counterparts - but even there, the colours were brown down blue up, no? Wondering why it'd be different on this plane, notwithstanding it's Czechoslovakian design.

Anyway - it's superb. Lovely in every way. 10/10.

I have some R/W Zlin time logged ... albeit in a Z-526F "Trener Master" , and ever since then I have been fascinated with the company, had some great flights with the FS9 version of the 142, but have to say ... this FSX version is stellar ! One short flight and many more planned ... Cheers PWDG !!! Mike

Just gave it a first quick test flight. What an absolute blast! This is the second recent freeware aircraft (Manfred's C-47 is the first) that makes it to the top of my list. Now I need to pick up Ant's T-28A for the trifecta...

The Zlin reminds me of the lesson that it's much more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly.

Extremely well done - highly recommended.

Well, I try to follow Carenado/Alabeo's way in the paintkit, therefore I included a full white version to the textures. Maybe it was a little mistake because it is not the easiest way for making repaint, I know... So I thinking about release a Photoshop version with layers. Just please give me a few days.
Yes I know about popularity of this Zlin at your country - that's a reason why I made a Polish paint version.
