Hi all,

as an Idea man...

I was looking at some information dealing with the Italian Forces flying in the Battle of Britian. and noticed that some of the Aces had flown during the Italian incursion into France shortly after the German invasion of France.

The detailed information and Great Madagascar Campaign that had the British Forces against Vichy French..had me thinking...

Is anyone working on.....maybe the Airwar in the " Italian invasion of France in 1940 "....maybe this is moot....because of the failures of that Action.

the planes flying against each other.....the mountians....

might be fun to attack troops at a mountian pass.....

I would try but I am not good at building this action..

I thought about that and looked into it, but the air battles were decidedly one-sided, and finding research on that is very difficult, is not impossible.

In an unbelievable turn of events, I managed to obtain a book that contains the COMPLETE history of the Regia Aeronautica, from 1940-1943. It covers the organizational structure, squadron data, transport routes, and all other sorts of stuff, including where each unit fought and what they were flying. Based on this, your hopes of this type of project have been greatly improved, especially if I can find the same detail for the French Air Force.

It is in french but it has info on all the French Aces plus all the fighter units (French Airforce, Vichy, Free French and post liberation French Airforce) including where they were stationed when and what were their mounts.

Thanks, I have added that to my collection. I've also contacted Ajax, Solobo, and Maulet about research help on the French side.

So much for 'impossible'....sigh...another case of 'open mouth, insert foot.'
