french prototype Arsenal VG39 for FS2004 , reworked textures and...

Hello-
Just to keep things honest, I e-mailed Patrice Grange for his blessing to upload my textures- I should be uploading them as soon as I hear from him...
Solobo, I did it for the most part the way you described- I used the original bitmap as the background, scaled and pasted parts of the 3-view onto it and traced the lines onto a separate layer so I could adjust opacity. Then I erased the 3-view and painted the colors on it. Then another layer for other bits like the third gun port on each wing, and another for the cockades.

... Mike, excellent... your texture is nice !... :salute: I'll upload very soon the alu texture...

I'll upload my camo texture later, I'm still working on....

I'm still looking for well balanced gradation of colors...
I think my camo texture will be the... number 2 ... on the tail !
After that, the effects on colors, the cocardes, and the masks...

guys, do you think I could put in this forum a small zip file of revised flight model ? (contact_points)

My alu texture will be the famous project of VG40 with Merlin III engine... more powerful...

Well, I'm also waiting permission of Patrice Grange...
My alu skin is finished, tested, and tested again.

Hello, all-
I got the green light from Patrice to upload the skins today- I just finished uploading! Enjoy them- Patrice says he likes them...

Just curious.

There is a small cluster of 8 tiny light scources that is located inside the fuselage of this plane situated about 3 ft behind the pilot's seat rear bulkhead. You can view it when in Active Camera fly-by view and the plane is sitting on the runway and allow the plane to slowly walk through the camera which allows you to see the inside details of the fuselage as it slowly passes the camera.

While flying and in fly-by view and as the plane passes the camera and gets some distance away that light scource begins emitting a glow outside of the fuselage which is about three times the diameter of the external midpoint of the fuselage.

Can't figure out what the light scource is for or how to turn it off. Anyone else seeing that light?

Hi Phantomx1, that's right, me too, in fly by...As you describe it, at some distance...
and the question is: is it possible to delete it with mdlmat ... ?

...

I can't imagine what it's purpose is, well I did imagine maybe a strobe light but I double back-slashed out the light effect for strobe in the aircraft cfg but it was still there. May be it's a nuclear reactor engine. lol!

Another thing was that when loading the plane, the cannons are constantly on from startup, then I read where the "O" key cuts them on and off, but also does the "L" (lights) key.

Like your aluminum textures Solobo!

...well... hem... about.... hem... I think that a ghost is blocked in the fuselage... :engel016: LOL !

... more seriously... maybe it works for FSX... but not for FS9...

Phantomx1, and guys, my aluminium skin is ready, but I have to prepare indications
and specific readme, with the original readme of Patrice Grange...

And... yes, Patrice gave me the authorization... it's OK... :ernae:

Hello, all-
I didn't zoom in enough to see the eight lights, but I noticed their glow- more intense the further away the plane was in the view. From a distance it looks like the fuselage is on fire just behind the cockpit! True, maybe they can be shut down in the mdl with MdlMat...
I didn't have any trouble with the guns, but I disabled them in aircraft.cfg anyway...
I'm also eagerly awaiting the metal textures from Solobo...

I double back-slashed out every light in the cfg and the atomic light or ghost:) is still there. It must be in the model. Wonder what it's purpose is.

Anyway it's not very noticeable if you don't zoom out more than one or two key strokes while in fly-by view, which is the only way to see it.

It's still a beautiful example of a French designed aircraft and nicely modeled, and flys very good. I love the lines of the plane.

Mike, thank's well ! Hurricane, and.. indeed, Mike made a nice skin too... sure.. in my favorites...

I love this aircraft...

I know the flight model of this amazing bird can be refined a little bit.. I made it...

After that, It swims in clouds... It makes capers and always returns on its wings...
And decides to land as a feather...

Cheers !

Forgotten no more. Nicely done SOLOBO. The VG flies very well and looks great. What are the Corsican sceneries used in the video? They look very interesting.

The Corsican sceneries... taking off and landing, Ajaccio Campo dell'Oro, indeed, very nice
work... http://www.virtualcorsair.fr/ and, on the right, click on Bases-corses for discovering
several improvements for Corsica...

For other, click on sites-corses...

on flightsim and AVSIM you can find several things for Corsica with: Corsica ...
